Anyone who knows me, knows I love skateboard videos. I thought it would be fun to ask a bunch of people what their favorite video is, so keep your eyes peeled every week or so for further installments.
I have about five or so of these videos filmed already and I will say that [...]
Get settled in for this one. Here is the full and complete 45 minute set from Turning Point at their reunion show on April 8th, 1994. The audio isn’t the greatest and it’s backlit but what do I know about filming.

Captain Chris Fritton navigates Lockview V on the Erie Canal, through Locks 34 and 35 and many lift bridges in Lockport, NY.
Filmed on 16mm flim and digital video.
Much remains the same on the Erie Canal today as it was in the 1800’s. Hand-dug to connect the Hudson River with the Niagara River, the 363-mile Grand Old Erie Canal is truly a great engineering feat. Originally, 83 stone locks overcame the 571-foot difference in the level between the rivers. Enlarged in the early [...]

I was lucky enough to snag a copy [...]
I’ve been digging through boxes and trying to organize and condense my belongings and just came across an unlabeled VHS tape. I popped it in and quickly found out it was some old footage of me skateboarding.
This footage is from a late summer, early fall day in 1990 and it was filmed by my MOM. [...]
For some reason or another I decided to drag my parents video camera to a few local hardcore shows in the summer of 1992. One such show was an all local band Saturday matinee at the Scrapyard on Main Street in Buffalo. The bill was Nothing, Childish Intent, Crop Dogs, Slugfest and Against All Hope.
If [...]

I just edited and uploaded this quick little film starring my good friend Chris Fritton. The footage was filmed in 2003 but never ended up being used for what it was originally intended for so I made this webclip out of it. Sorry this took so long Chris.
Filmed on video and 16mm film.
Enjoy.
Here is a short video I made as a school project for my Participation In Government class three months into my senior year of high school in 1991. We were allowed to pick our own topic so of course I chose skateboarding.

At one of the two shows that weekend, Ed tripped while running across the stage to attempt a stage dive. Hilarity ensued and this video [...]
When it was time to set up a new complete board, I decided I wanted to do something special as it is probably the last skateboard I will ever assemble and ride.
I wanted to have some inspiration and history under my feet so I thought if I had some gear donated by some of my favorite skaters that would do the trick.
Mike V kicked down a deck and griptape, I picked up a set of Independent Trucks from Lance Mountain and Jim Thiebaud shipped down a few sets of Spitfire Wheels from San Francisco.
Sounds like the ultimate shred sled to me.
Thanks Mike, Lance and Jim!
