Went down to Quicksilver yesterday to check out the All 80’s, All Day contest in Huntington Beach. 80s boards, pvc coping, 80s gear and all the guys I worshiped in the 80s were all in one place. It felt like I was transplanted into one of the Vision/NSA contest videos from 1986. I was a too lazy to take my camera out of my pocket but my great friend Dave Mandel was on the scene to save the day. Here are some of the highlights:

Tony Hawk with a tweaked out backside air.

Jeff Grosso about to slap a madonna.

On the brink of disaster at any second, Ben Schroeder with a frontside edger.

Stylish judo air from Christian Hosoi.

Jay Smith styled layback from Steve Caballero. Check the suspenders.

Is this Upland ‘85? Nope. Steve Stedham ‘08.

Eric Nash smith grinding.

Stevie Cab with a backside invert.

Eddie Reategui. Daggers for life.

Adrian Demain. He’s riding the exact same board he rode in The Search For Animal Chin.

Kevin Staab with a huge backside ollie.

Staab comtemplates his next run while the Birdman and Holmes exchange pounds.

Tony Hawk with a 720.
