In the summer of 2000 for some reason or another I found myself out on the Warped Tour for the third time. One of the bands on the tour that summer was Flogging Molly whose accordion player is none other than skateboarding legend, Matt Hensley. Over the course of that summer I got to chat with Matt a few times and early one morning we even skated the tour’s demo vert ramp together.

One night in Houston, Texas when the show was over and the crowds were clearing out I snapped this picture of Matt hippie jumping over a discarded merch table on a borrowed board. Wearing his Doc Martins of course.

Alternate angles of some of the tricks from Mike V’s “Birthday Brigade” segment from The Berrics. I filmed this with my Canon Powershot pocket camera and choose a more raw edit for that “behind the scenes” feel. Enjoy.
