Published by Larry Ransom and Eric Shugats in 1990 and 1991, Pure Fun Skate Zine documented the Lockport, NY skate scene and surrounding areas through photos, interviews, articles, reviews and more.
Originally nine issues were published but a massive tenth issue is currently being designed for a release in the first quarter of 2012 for the zine’s 22nd anniversary.
Issue #10 will be of “best of” issue containing the best material from the original nine issues as well as featuring photos and images from before and after Pure Fun’s original release dates. I’ve dug up some really cool stuff that no one has seen in a long time and I’m excited to share it with all of you.
Plans also include a launch party/photo show for issue #10 in Lockport, NY as well as t-shirts and other memorabilia.
